2012 Sled Dog Super Mush
The race starts and ends at the Peacock Meadows Sno-Park. Racers and dogs will navigate a tough course with considerable elevation gains and backcountry terrain. Spectators can watch the progress of their favorite mushers on a board near the announcer's booth, where updates will be posted as racers enter and exit check points along the route.
If you haven't experienced a Sled Dog event, mark your calendar for January 20th, 21st, and 22nd, and come out and lend your support to some of the best athletes on four paws! DRIVER NOTE! - This event has an entry limit; to ensure a spot, please enter early.
More Than A Spectator
Conconully Snow Dog Super Mush isn't just for the athletes. Being here is more than just spectating. It's a chance to learn and get involved. The lines between particpants and spectators blur as kids get to ride real dog sleds between races, mushers are accessible before and after races (HINT: Mushers LOVE to talk about their dogs) and you might even find yourself leading a team to the starting line. Coming to "watch" the Snow Dog Super Mush means being part of the activities. You will find no better place to learn about a sport that has captivated its participants (both dogs and drivers) and brings joy to all who watch!Don't worry about driving up to the crowded Sno-Park to watch the race. Shuttles will pick you up in downtown Conconully and take you up to the event. Shuttle is free and runs from 8am to 3pm, Saturday. If you plan on bringing a group up on Sunday, please contact the race coordinator at least two weeks prior to the event in order to arrange a shuttle.
PLEASE leave your pet dogs at home.

Race Volunteers Make It Happen!

Cold toes? Cold fingers? Tons of snow? No problem! However, at the first Super Mush only about 5 volunteers (including our loyal race vet) had ever touched a sled dog. A snow hook? What's that?! Enthusiastic fearless friends, families and organizations pitched in.Read More
